Few days ago, I got an email from a friend about the "Chintendo Vii" from China.
 At a quick glance, it's an obvious knock-off of the ever popular Nintendo Wii. Several months ago, the hot item on the tech community was the "ifone," an alternative to the iPhone from Apple.
The list goes on and on. Here in the West, though we "complain" about it, we have learned to accept this knocking-off to be a normal behavior. We've all become accustom to be able to purchase low-price substitutes coming out of China. Some how, it's becoming "okay."
For what it's worth, we still have the choice. For the most part, we are informed enough about the products out there to make the purchase decisions.
I started to think. China is a nation with 1/4 of the world's population. They are also a nation with some of their information doors still closed. Unbiased information is still apriviledge. When this is combined with the title of the World's Knock-Off Capital, we result in a generation that accepts knock-offs as a norm. From childhood, all 1/4 of the babies in the world think that a Vii is as good as a Wii, an iFone is as good as an iPhone. Inovation and knock-off gets you to the same result. | |

Been quite busy lately, so I haven't had a chance to update everyone. About 2 weeks ago, we got our furniture back! Yeah!!! It's not completely done yet. As we refused to have the contractors finish the job, they deducted some money from the originally agreed amount. We now have to finish the projects.
It's not going to be quick. However, it's just a great feeling to be able to kick-back on the sofa again.  |

All I can say at this point is beware of trusting everything a contractor is claiming. Never let them "store" your furniture for you. |
