| How to put a gash on the forehead with a roll of plastic wrap

Earlier this evening, I wash up in the attic doing some work. I had a roll of plastic wrap, the type that looks like plastic wrap for microwaving food, but for packing. I was using it to wrap up some fiberglass insulation that had come apart from the AC duct. In order to get a good tight wrap, I had to pull on the roll as I wrapped it around the duct. I don't know what happened. I was pulling the roll when the wrap ripped. I wacked myself in the head with the roll. It was a pretty big blow because I almost knocked myself out. After taking a few minutes to regain my senses, I noticed something was wet. Thinking to myself, I was either sweating, or something is not right. I dabbed my forehead with my sleeve, and saw it was blood. Right-away, I made way down and rushed into the bathroom. The result: a 3/4" gash on top of a bump the size of a quarter just above my eyebrow. Yes, all this from a roll of plastic wrap. Good thing the cut was not deep. Still a bit dizzy from the wack. As we refused to have the contractors finish the job, they deducted some money from the originally agreed amount. We now have to finish the projects.
It's not going to be quick. However, it's just a great feeling to be able to kick-back on the sofa again.  |
