| Recommended Vendor for Canon 5D Mark II

Thanks to my CFO, just pulled the trigger on a new toy.
Goes without saying, a great toy at that.
I did some shopping around, and finally ended up at www.Vanns.com. They are a pretty reputable company. I purchased my 47" Toshiba LCD from them a couple of years ago. This time, three reasons I ended up purchasing the camera from them.
- Customer Service. When I had purchased my TV, I had to go through several replacements. None of the replacements were their fault. Through it all, they were more than friendly in helping me in getting everything settled. They even refunded me some money later when they lowered the price after I bought it.
- Price. Almost all reputable Canon Authorized Dealers sell the camera at $2,699. They had it at $2,649.99
- Extended Warranty. Most places have the extended warranty for about $300-$400 for 5 years. Vanns.com offers the extended version of the factory warranty for $79.99 for 5 years. Of course, it's not like the replacement type coverage that some of the premium plans. However, it does cover 5 years of Canon service.
I phoned in my order. The person that helped me really hooked me up. I would totally recommend anyone to call him if you are thinking about purchasing this camera. His name is Noel Young. He sold the camera with the 5 year extended warranty for $2699.98. That's like buying the camera from B&H or Adorama and getting the 5 years warranty for free! Awesome service! I don't get any commission in any way from them. Just wanted to share the info about the deal in appreciation to Noel for his help.
That said, I just checked their site. The stock just went to "On Order." Maybe I just got the last one.
