| Some Things Were Never Meant for Us to Do Ourselves

As a parent of a young boy, one learns life lessons in some odd situations. Case-in-point, I was getting ready to change my son’s soiled diaper today. He started to reach for the Velcro, and attempted to open it. A thought flashed through my mind. As much as I want my boy to grow up, and learn his life skills, opening his own soiled diaper is not one.
Going through life, I’ve learned a great deal to be on my own. I’ve learned how not to be dependent on others. In some sense, I might have gone too far. I’ve just realized, from a dirty diaper, that sometime, I need to wait, and let someone greater do the job. If I tried to do it myself, I’ll just make a terrible mess, and get “stuff” all over the place. Waiting is a much bigger lesson. The learning continues. | |

As we refused to have the contractors finish the job, they deducted some money from the originally agreed amount. We now have to finish the projects.
It's not going to be quick. However, it's just a great feeling to be able to kick-back on the sofa again.  |
