For the last year or so, I've been hosting my website at Host Department. They are definitely great when it comes to value. However, when it comes to performance... I wish I have better things to say.
For about a year now, I've been struggling with the speed of the web hosting, or the lack of. Things really craw. When I type the URL in my browser, I can literally walk away, get something to drink, and return before the pages load. In the last few months, I decided to feedback to them. I chatted several times with the tech support. They are great friendly people. Everytime I chat with them, they resolve my speed issue. They will always get it to a point where I think it's acceptable. However, about 2 weeks later, it will craw again.
Unfortunately, I've grown accustom to this pattern. I will chat with a tech. He will resolve the issue. I will be happy for 2 weeks. Things slow down again, and the whole process just repeats. Finally, today, when I chatted with the tech, I was greatly surprised by the result. It was blazing. I never saw the site so fast before. They would not tell me what they did. By this time, I thought this time, I would be happy for 3 weeks instead. No more than 2 hours later...  CRAWL....

As we refused to have the contractors finish the job, they deducted some money from the originally agreed amount. We now have to finish the projects.
It's not going to be quick. However, it's just a great feeling to be able to kick-back on the sofa again.  |

All I can say at this point is beware of trusting everything a contractor is claiming. Never let them "store" your furniture for you. |
